  This week, most of the NBA trade activity focused on veteran teams looking to contend rather than actual championship contenders. This marks Cleveland's first significant mid-season upgrade despite being one of the top seven teams in terms of records this season, as they aim to convert their impressive performance into playoff success.

  

  The acquisition of Hunter is particularly noteworthy given his combination of three-point shooting and defensive skills (3D+), which are well-suited for the high-pressure environment of playoffs. Although he has only played 16 postseason games thus far, Hunter boasts strong individual defense capabilities that will add depth alongside the Cavaliers' four All-Stars.

  This season, although likely serving as a backup behind rookie standout Zaccharie Rissache, Hunter is enjoying a career year with an average score increase to 19.0 points per game—up by 3.4 from previous highs—and significantly enhancing his aggressiveness and effectiveness beyond the arc with a current shooting percentage at 39% over an increased volume.

  The shift towards more valuable three-pointers instead of long two-pointers reflects positively on him; last season’s attempts were nearly equal between both categories but have now skewed heavily toward threes this time around (247 vs. just101). His true shooting percentage also saw improvement from 56.3% up to61 .6 % thanks largely due these adjusted shot selections — highlighting how critical such choices can be during competitive play situations! < p >However , while advanced metrics suggest respectable overall contributions so far(though not exceptional) attributable mainly because limited steals/blocks numbers exist(yet defensively solid ).His rebounding abilities fall slightly below league averages considering height advantages present within players like Jarrett Allen/Evan Mobley surrounding them hence potential minimization issues arise there too! That said though : Withstanding those concerns remains viable under Cavs’ structure where bigger wings thrive better suited against larger opponents come Playoff times ahead !
